More than 300 venture investors and startups met in Almaty

With the support of the Kazakhstan Association of Blockchain Technologies, on June 9, the Central Asian Venture Forum (CAVF) was held in Almaty, a large-scale event for participants in the startup ecosystem. More than 300 venture investors and startups from all over the world took part in the event.

The platform brought together in one place: business angels, venture investors and funds, technology startups and corporations, as well as everyone interested in the venture industry of Central Asia. Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiev, Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Holding Corp. spoke at the CAVF panel sessions. Timur Turlov, founders of the business angels club Angelsdeck Yevgeny Galiakhmetov and Igor Kaloshin, CEO of Astana Hub Magzhan Madiev, investors Murat Abdrakhmanov, Adil Nurgozhin, Bakht Niyazov and other market experts. The main headliner was the editor-in-chief of the world-famous publication about startups TechCrunch, Mike Butcher.

The Central Asian Venture Forum was organized by the MOST Ventures venture fund, the UMAY Angels Club investor club together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Freedom Holding Corp, MyVentures venture fund.
