On March 29, 2024, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved the Rules for determining and publishing the value of digital assets.
To determine the value of digital assets, the State Revenue Committee uses information posted on the CoinMarketCup Internet resource.
The cost is determined daily on the business day on which CoinMarketCup conducts trading on digital assets.
The weighted average value of digital assets accumulated at the end of the day on CoinMarketCup is taken as the value of digital assets to be published.
To determine income from digital mining activities, digital mining pool and digital asset exchange, the value is determined on the date of receipt of digital assets.
"The current legal mechanisms ensure that taxes are paid to the budget from each tiyn earned by Kazakhstani digital miners. Not every branch of the economy can boast of such transparency," said Dauren Karashev, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Association of Blockchain Technologies and Data Centers.
