Blockchain and Digital Health Pass

Date: 19.07.2021

We continue to discuss the use of blockchain in everyday life. This time, let's take a look at the IBM Digital Health Pass project for integration with the TrustAssure CLX Health platform.

The IBM Digital Health Pass is a blockchain-based IBM project aimed at bringing society back to normal in terms of the pandemic. The Digital Health Pass allows organizations to validate the health data of employees, customers, fans, or travellers entering a facility based on their own criteria. The core feature is confidentiality.

CLX Health is a private company providing cloud-based management solutions for the COVID-19 testing ecosystem. CLX Health TrustAssure Global's global network includes over 5,000 COVID-19 testing sites in the United States and over 15,000 facilities in 82 countries.

The IBM Digital Health Pass is based on a combination of encryption, QR codes, and blockchain technology. It provides a secure, voluntary digital alternative to paper test results or vaccination certificates while also providing the ability to share your results or vaccination status.

Portal powered by CLX Health allows people to access their lab and diagnostic data anytime, anywhere. Integration with the IBM Digital Health Pass will make it possible to receive individual COVID-19 test results after its completion. Then users will be able to create verifiable digital wallet credentials on their smartphones.

In addition, the platform will allow paper scanning and verification of vaccination status so that people can upload these credentials to their digital wallets and demonstrate via a specific QR code if needed.
